Carroll Museums is pleased to announce a new Corporate
Membership Program created specifically for our neighboring
businesses. The program encourages employees to visit the
Museums’ two historic sites, the Carroll Mansion and Phoenix
Shot Tower, and take advantage of the many entertaining cultural
programs available. The goal is to foster a better
understanding of our city’s rich history among local visitors
and help increase the pride we all take in our community
resources.
Benefits include free admission passes to the museums, a free
rental at the Carroll Mansion, and discounts for employees to
the Museums’ many events and programs. Click

Volunteer!
Tour Guides
Tour guides work with school and adult tour groups and with walk-in visitors.
All tours at the Carroll Mansion and the
Phoenix Shot Tower are led by one of
our Tour Guides. Volunteers will receive training and work with experienced
Museum Guide before working on their own. On-going volunteer training programs
are available. Requirements: A love of history, curiosity, and the ability to
communicate with a variety of people.Research Volunteers
Carroll Museums is actively researching various aspects of the history of the
Phoenix Shot Tower, the
Carroll Mansion, the Carroll Family and the various
Immigrant families that inhabited the mansion. Research volunteers, depending on
their background, will be asked to conduct research in libraries and archives on
specific topics. Requirements: a knowledge of historic research techniques,
good written and oral communication skills and a desire to work as part of a
research team.
Office Volunteers
Office Volunteers are needed on a periodic basis to assist with mailings,
special programs and other general office duties. Requirements: Good written
and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
Internships
Internships are available in all aspects of Carroll Museums' operations and
programs. Carroll Museums internships are unpaid, but offer an opportunity to
create a personalize work plan to satisfy a personal interest or goal, such as
school credit for a course of study. Carroll Museums’ Interns are independent,
self-starters with good written and oral communication skills and excellent
organizational skills. If you are interested in creating an internship at the
