Historic Jonestown

Carroll Museums is located in Historic Jonestown, a Baltimore City Historic District roughly bounded by President, Pratt, Fayette, and Central Streets. Our neighborhood is north of Little Italy and east of the Inner Harbor. Please visit our history page to learn about the history of the Jonestown neighborhood.

Neighborhood Tours

Historic Jonestown also includes Heritage Walk, Baltimore’s first-ever pedestrian heritage trail. Unveiled in 2005, this award-winning trail links 20 museums and historic sites along a 3.2 mile loop that starts in the Inner Harbor and winds through Little Italy, Jonestown, and downtown Baltimore. The trail is designed to be self-guided, but guided tours are available. Visit the Heritage Walk website for information and maps.

Heritage Walk
A project of Historical Jonestown, Inc., Heritage Walk connects 20 historic sites and museums just a short walk beyond Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Their website includes information about the neighborhood, local sites and attractions as well as information about guided and self-guided tours and a map of the Heritage Walk.
